What is your favorite piece of jewelry and what is your connection to it?

My mother gifted me a beautiful ruby ring which she got from her dad years ago. It is quite big and I only wear it on special occasions, but every time I wear it, it makes me very happy and it gives me a lot of joy.

Do you store your jewelry in a special place?

Yes, but I haven´t found the perfect jewelry box yet.

What do you love about being a woman?

To be honest, I never really thought about that, because it never significantly mattered in my upbringing or my resume. I climbed on trees as a kid and was always taught to never shy away from a challenge. And I truly love living in a society in which women can finally do what ever they want.

A woman that you especially admire…

Most definitely my mom, because she basically has a solution for every problem and I have never heard her say, I don´t know that. Mum you are awesome!

With your just published book “The Mama Styleguide” you are celebrating the diversity of women and their role as mothers. Is there something that the portrayed women all have in common or something, that especially surprised you?

What definitely links these women together is, however their life plan looks like, they all take life how it comes. I was deeply impressed by how all these female powerhouses manage to handle all their different projects with a smile on their face and how they never loose their style, however it may be. And I often thought, what great human beings these kids are going to be, because they grow up with such great parents. The kids will probably realize that later in their lives.

How did becoming a mom change you?

I became a mom when I was 22 and I had to grow up a little faster than other people. That made me a whole lot calmer, I feel like priorities shift and that is at times something wonderful.

You photographed our #vieriwomen campaign. What makes you a #vieriwoman?

I hope it's my euphoria to turn projects into reality and my optimism, that everything will work out just fine.

VIERI exclusively works with ethically sourced gold and the respect towards all humans involved in process of gaining the resource is a main concern. Did in your opinion the interaction with fashion really change in the last years?

I can only speak for myself and I can definitely agree, I do consume more cautious and more thoughtful in every aspect of my life. Materials and origin are definite selection criteria’s. And at one point you realize that when you get angry because you forgot to bring the reusable bag you always have with you, that you have definitely changed.

You are surrounded by beautiful things all day, to what extend did your feelings towards them change?

Beautiful things are indeed something beautiful. But I do believe that my longing for quality has changed and that I feel products twice etc. before I make a decision.

If you could fulfill yourself one dream, what would it be?

Especially in a week like this one, I would love to travel for 2 weeks to somewhere warm and sunny, to do nothing but chill, but I know myself and I might not manage to do that once I am there. And I would love to have an apartment with wood floors and folding doors. But that day might come!
