This was developed specifically for gemstones by the Swiss company "Provenance Proof." Under strict supervision, the gemstone is immersed in a specific liquid, in which DNA particles are completely invisible to the human eye or even microscopes. These particles encode information such as the gemstone's origin and its cutting process.
